Training opportunities
As part of the UK GIBA Network+, we are delivering a comprehensive training programme designed to equip our members with the skills, tools, and methods essential for advancing GIBA research.
Our training programme aims to foster future interdisciplinary collaboration and enhance communication across the network. This programme is centred around four key areas: theoretical concepts, data analysis, experimental techniques, and career development. We expect the training courses will take a variety of formats (in-person, hybrid, webinars, and hackathons) to enable wide participation across the network.
Essential GIBA Concepts and Techniques
Online Training Course – March 23, 25 and 26, 2026 (10am – 12pm)
For our next GIBA training workshop, we are organising an online training session on essential concepts and techniques of the gut-immune-brain axis (GIBA).
What will we cover?
This online training course will take place across three morning sessions and will cover fundamental concepts and research techniques related to the GIBA. Each session will include two one-hour lectures, focused on one of the three axes: gut, immune, and brain, led by the following speakers:
Who is this course for?
The course is open to the entire GIBA network and is free to attend. It is aimed at providing an introductory understanding for those who are new to the field and wish to explore interdisciplinary collaborations within the GIBA. The course will give researchers a flavour of what is possible across these domains, as well as an overview of the techniques, challenges, and limitations they should be aware of. It will be particularly suitable for those seeking to start new collaborations within the GIBA and are interested in applying to our future funding opportunities.
Registration deadline: March 13th at 5 pm.
